Empatika is looking for:

Finance and Administration Assistant ​

(Junior Position, one year fixed term contract with three months probation)

SKILLS & BACKGROUND:
  • Relevant bachelor's degree, a degree or field of study in accounting or management are preferable
  • Minimum two years clerical or administrative experience
  • Some knowledge of Indonesian tax regulation will be helpful
  • Experience with donor funded programmes will be helpful
  • Some written and spoken proficiency in English is a must
  • Confident with basic accounting and finances
  • Computer proficiency in general office software (i.e Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required
  • Proficiency using accounting software will be helpful
  • Knowledgeable in office administration and proficient in the use of general office equipment
This role is best suited for candidates based in Jakarta.  Applicants must have eligibility to work and live in Indonesia.

Qualitative Research Associate in Bangladesh

(Short-term Consultant Role)

To support the implementation of a short-term research project in Sylhet, Bangladesh, Empatika requires Research Associates to be part of the study team.
  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in social sciences (i.e. anthropology, development studies, sociology, political science, economics, development communication etc.)
  • Fluency in Bengali and Sylheti required with strong spoken and reading English skills
  • Minimum of a year of work experience in development research or other development related work
  • Experience in qualitative field research and knowledge of terminologies of qualitative research is preferred
